Nicki Minaj Gives Props to Queen Latifah On Her Talk Show

The new queen of hip-hop has finally met the other queen -- Queen Latifah, that is. Rapper Nicki Minaj will appear as a guest on the 'Queen Latifah Show' next week.

In a preview clip from the show, the Young Money superstar praised Latifah for paving the way for other female MCs in the rap game.

"You’ve opened so many doors for me and so many other women and it’s insane because I always reference you when I talk about female rappers who’ve, like, kinda paved the way in terms of a business woman and mogul and just all-around entertainer," she said. "To be sitting here doing your show, it’s just a great moment for hip-hop. So, thank you for having me."

"It really is a full-circle moment for me. I probably never envisioned this," added Latifah.

According to the program note, Minaj will talk about the state of hip-hop, her stint on 'American Idol' and her distinctive style.
