Nicki Minaj Denies Making Fun of a Disabled Person

Nicki Minaj has never been one to keep quiet when it comes to rumors. Now the rapper is addressing claims that she was making fun of a disabled woman over the weekend.

Dressed as a fairy for a Halloween party she was hosting at 1OAK in Las Vegas, Minaj is seen in a video commanding a woman in a wheelchair to walk as she waves her wand around. But according to Minaj, it was her friend -- who is not disabled -- who she was joking about.

"Lol. That's NOT a disabled person and u know that. Are u that desperate for attention?" tweeted Minaj in response to the news report on Perez Hilton's site. "Lol u muf---as need some peepee," she continued in another tweet. It gets uglier though as she posts a venomous response to Hilton's reply that he updated the post with the correct information: "Bitch, u knew. That's my friend in a scooter. Have a great day. I surely will."

The internet erupted with backlash toward the "Superbass" rapper. Perez Hilton's gossip site was one of the many outlets reporting on the video, which paints The Pinkprint creator as insincere to the plight of those with disabilities. Especially since before the incident, Minaj was laughing with her friends and seemingly enjoying her reign as a fairy princess.

Although it's unclear who the woman sitting in the electric wheel chair is, Perez Hilton's site cites sources who said it's the rapper's makeup artist, Sheika Daley -- who is not disabled.

But while the internet was criticizing Nicki Minaj for her insensitivity before they knew the complete story, she took the time to post a tasteless photo a person dressed as Bill Cosby and a drugged woman for Halloween. "Our generation is so desensitized" read the caption for the Instagram photo.
