Nick Cannon is going to college.

The entrepreneur has registered for classes as a freshman at Howard University majoring in communications. Although he's made a lot of money throughout his lifetime thus far, he's been stressing on social media that more knowledge is vital, stating "Education Over Everything!" on several different photos uploaded to his Instagram.

Cannon broke the news by posting a shot of himself next to a Howard University sign (seen above), with the caption: “You know!!!! #HU2020 My First Day as a Freshman!!! Howard University Class of 2020.”

Howard University is one of the top HBCU's in the country and it's been said the administrators will work with Cannon on his schedule since he’ll be juggling a number of television shows, a tech company and other projects. The surprising part about his enrollment is he doesn't plan to take online or private classes.

“He is going to be on campus taking classes, obviously it’s not going to be every day,” a source told Page Six. “But he is going to be on campus as much as possible.”

Despite his celebrity status, the 35 year-old reportedly went through the same application process as everyone else.

“No one gets special treatment, no matter who they are,” the source added.

After his first day, Cannon hopped on a plane out of town, but he has been posting a series of quotes on the importance of education since then. Check out his posts below.
