Nick Cannon is "out yo damn mind," according to the Twitterverse after he posted a photo on Instagram comparing Chris Brown's career to the lauded talents of Michael Jackson and Tupac.

"Damn right I said it! The level of talent, passion, and artistic ability that this young man possesses makes @ChrisBrownOfficial a true legend amongst legends," the America's Got Talent host wrote in the caption. "A lot of times we don't realize or acknowledge our treasures while we still have them with us. We wait until they are gone to appreciate their power. Think about how much everyone attacked MJ and 2Pac while they were alive... I don't think I have ever witnessed someone more gifted, who has overcome so much and still growing and learning daily. My Prayers go up for this dude everyday."

Breezy is largely influenced by the King of Pop when it comes to his dancing and his bad boy persona could be equated to the likes of 2Pac, but whether or not he's a complete mix of the two is drawing strong opinions from fans.

"f--- no, no, no, no! you've lost your damn mind. he never will be anywhere near the level of Michael. keep dreaming," tweeted one person opposed to the notion. "hell the f--- all the way no. Not even f in close," tweeted another.

When it comes to the equation, a critic on Twitter had a new formula for the Drumline actor, which includes Bobby Brown and CB4, the comedic spoof of N.W.A. from the 1993 film of the same name.

But not everyone is opposed to the Wild 'N Out creator's sentiments. "so true.....people forget about his talent because they always bringing up his past.....," tweeted a Brown fan while another agreed and called Cannon's opinion "so true and honest."
