July brought sizzling new releases from Meek Mill and Future. The summer has been hot thanks to solid hip-hop and R&B projects and the heat is going to continue through August.

It's The Weeknd's turn to step up to the plate. The Canadian crooner went from eerie entertainer to bona fide star. He has three hits dancing in the Billboard Hot 100's top 20 and is the first-ever artist to hold the top three spots on Billboard's R&B charts. It's time for an album. The Weeknd revealed that he's following up his slack studio debut with Beauty Behind the Madness. Aug. 28 is scheduled to be the day to see if he can capitalize on his mainstream appeal. The instantly catchy "Can't Feel My Face" suggests he might succeed this time.

Beyond The Weeknd, August is pretty scattered when it comes to the goods. Chief Keef, who out of nowhere decided to do pop, releases Bang 3 on Aug. 18. The late Chinx gets a posthumous debut LP with Welcome to J.F.K. (Aug. 14), which will feature Coke Boy brother French Montana, Jeremih and Ty Dolla $ign. Lastly in important releases, Wondaland Presents: The Eephus drops on Aug. 14, just in time to capitalize off Jidenna's Classic Man," which is surprisingly the Janelle Monae-lead label's first big hit.

That covers the big releases. Take a look below to see what else August has in store for your listening pleasure.
