New Balance doesn’t need to resort to gimmicks when it comes to moving products. As a result when they group shoes together for a pack they don’t need to rely on much aside from the quality of each model contained.

For instance, the Explore By Sea Collection features a New Balance 997, New Balance 998 and New Balance 1300; all bound together by the theme of oceanic exploration. However, the theme is secondary to the rich use of suede, tanned leather and tweed on the build of each pair. The rope laces are the only element that really plays into the theme, but even that accent feels subtle.
