After Texas police confiscated heroin, a large amount of marijuana and a loaded handgun on Nelly's tour bus at a boarder patrol checkpoint, TMZ is reporting that Brian Keith Jones, a passenger on the bus who assumed responsibility for the drugs and firearm, has pled not guilty.

Jones was released on bond yesterday morning.

The "Hot in Herre" artist previously told TMZ in a statement that the drugs and gun were not his. Nelly said: "It is my understanding a member of my staff made an unfortunate decision to bring unlawful materials onto our tour bus that resulted in his arrest this morning. Neither I nor anyone else on the tour bus was aware of his decision to bring these on board. Law enforcement officials did not press charges against anyone other than that individual."

Nelly's next performance is Oct. 19 at the Atelier Festival in Dubai.
