Nelly gave the audience at the 2013 American Music Awards a welcomed surprise when he joined country band Florida Georgia Line on stage, and it made the guests come to life.

After joining the band to perform their duet song, 'Cruise,' Nelly segued into his 2001 single, 'Ride Wit Me.' The song was one of his biggest hits off his biggest-selling album, the nine-time platinum effort, 'Country Grammar.' Florida Georgia Line played his hypemen.

Nelly is known for sometimes incorporating country influences into his songs. He famously collaborated with Tim McGraw on 'Over and Over.'

Later, the Midwest rhymer and Florida Georgia Line won the Single of the Year award for 'Cruise.' Nelly's acceptance speech was short and sweet. 'St. Louis, what up," he yelled.

Congrats to Nelly and FGL!
