Ne-Yo to Aspiring Singer: Lose Weight if You Want to Be a Star

Singer/songwriter Ne-Yo recently advised an aspiring singer to drop a few pounds before trying to make it in the music business. The conversation between the R&B star and the unidentified woman finds Ne-Yo exposing the sad but very true restrictions in the entertainment industry.

The 29-year-old was informed that unless she wants to go the "Jill Scott route" or win an Oscar like Jennifer Hudson she's pretty much stuck. So for all you ladies out there thinking of merging into the same lane as a superstar like Beyonce, you can't compete with that extra meat on your bones, according to Ne-Yo. Check out the video below.
