VH1's "Behind the Music" series gets up close and personal with Ne-Yo, the mastermind who penned Beyonce's hit single "Irreplaceable" and collaborated with the King of Pop himself Michael Jackson.

But aside from his musical accomplishments, the crooner has been busy in other areas of his life. It seems his sudden fame went to his head for awhile and he indulged in the role of the stereotypical R&B star womanizer.

"To know that I can walk in a room where there's 20 women and snap my fingers and at least 18 of them are coming with me, I was a bit of a slut for a second. I can admit it," said the "Sexy Love" singer.

The episode specifically highlights his initial failures breaking into music and follows his rise to fame. Commentary from his current girlfriend Monyetta Shaw, Smokey Robinson, L.A. Reid and some of his family members help flesh out his deeper personality.

Take a look at the clip below for highlights and catch the full episode Sept. 23 at 9PM on VH1.

For new songs from Ne-Yo, stay tuned for his forthcoming album, R.E.D. (Realizing Every Dream), due Nov. 6.
