Nas has one hell of a 2015 lined up. His Mass Appeal movement is in full effect with artists like Bishop Nehru preparing to drop his new project and Harlem, N.Y. MC Dave East buzzing on the airwaves and blogs. But while the God’s Son has been grooming the newcomers, he’s also been working on new music of his own.

The veteran lyricist announced that he will be dropping his first album in three years very soon. "2015, new album this summer," Nas told concertgoers at a show in Orlando, Fla. last weekend. Fans immediately captured the moment and shared videos of the news on social media.

This will be the Queens, N.Y. native's 12th LP and serve as a follow-up to his 2012 effort, Life Is Good, which earned him his sixth Billboard No.1 album. Last year, he revealed that he had completed his final Def Jam album in his verse on SChoolboy Q's "Studio remix. “Finished up my new album / Single about to be dropping / Last album on Def Jam and I got so many options,” he raps.

With albums from Kendrick Lamar, Raekwon, Big Sean and now Nas, 2015 is shaping up to be a great year for hip-hop.
