Nas Guests on J. Cole’s ‘Let Nas Down’ Remix

J. Cole gets personal on his new album Born Sinner and exceptionally so on “Let Nas Down,” a song about how he disappointed his Illmatic idol when he dropped his radio single “Work Out.”

But while J. Cole took the “Big Brother” route on the original version Nas jumps on the remix to let the world he know that Cole doesn’t let him down–he makes him proud.Instead of echoing Cole’s original sentiment, Nas explains that Cole is is one of the best hopes for the new generation of rappers.
