After a long hiatus, Musiq Soulchild returns to the R&B scene with a pair of music videos for his songs “Simple Things” and “Start Over.” Both songs are from his upcoming project, Feel the Real.

In the “Simple Things” clip above, Musiq is fed up with his lover who seems to be more in love with the lavish things in life than with him. The video ends with a strange twist that might make you go “hmmm?”

Meanwhile, on “Start Over,” The singer takes an old flame (played by his ex-girlfriend and former 702 singer Kameelah Williams) on a platonic date and asks her if he can get a do over on their relationship. He later gets onstage and serenades her with his smooth ballad.

Musiq Soulchild's eighth solo studio project, Feel the Real, is actually a double album. The collection, which arrives on Sept. 15, features cameos from Marsha Ambrosius, Neil deGrasse Tyson, BLAQGxLD and more. You can pre-order the album right now via iTunes and other digital stores.
