Musiq Soulchild is gearing up to drop a new double-disc LP titled Feel the Real, and he just released one of the singles titled "Sooner or Later."

The song finds the singer speaking to a woman who's been jilted by love, and he wants to be that one good guy who restores her faith in men.

"I know you do fine all by yourself, but I hope you change your mind / Sometimes I want to be the one you call / Everybody needs someone to love," sings Musiq over a jazzy, free flowing track.

The track sounds like a jazz band came up with it while jamming, and it has a loose, improvisational vibe that makes the cut sound feel good — despite some of the lyrics being about a love gone wrong.

Before dropping "Sooner or Later," the Philly native shared the video for "Start Over," and then he delivered visuals for the cut "Simple Things," both from the Feel the Real LP. Guest features on the project include Marsha Ambrosius, Willie Hyn and The Husel (Musiq's rap moniker).

Feel the Real will be everywhere on Sept. 15, and you can listen to the "Sooner or Later" single below.
