There were a lot of big moments last night at the VMAs, namely all of the #BlackGirlMagic that came courtesy of Rihanna, Teyana Taylor and Beyoncé (though for very different reasons). From Drake confessing his undying love for RiRi as he presented her with the Video Vanguard Award, to Bey slaying her performance of Lemonade, to RiRi rocking a du-rag and Teyana Taylor showing off her incredible post-baby body, there were a lot of highlights. Here are three of the biggest moments of the night.

Beyoncé slays her performance of Lemonade. Just in case you forgot, Beyonce has the range. Nobody in the business is on her level in terms of the ability to entertain, and she easily proved it, once again, with her Lemonade medley last night. Her vocals are never lacking, even in the midst of her incredible choreography, and now that she's all about being unapologetically black wherever she goes, it's even better. Last night, Bey surpassed Madonna for the amount of VMAs she's racked up, and in more ways than one, she proved again that's she's arguably the greatest entertainer of our generation.

Teyana Taylor stars in Kanye West's new "Fade" video and kills it. Folks thought Kanye was going to do something crazy with the four-minutes that MTV gave him to do "whatever he wanted"—but instead, he showed his new video and made everyone ogle the power that is Teyana Taylor's incredible body.  In the clip, the G.O.O.D. Music singer shows off her amazing physique in a gym training sequence that seemed straight out of Flashdance. And it was awesome.

Rihanna's performances and du-rag. RiRi hit the stage to perform four times throughout the night, and each one was a treat. She didn't care much about actually lip-syncing (she didn't even bother to mouth the words as she danced most of the time). She also hit a few struggle-notes during her rendition of her popular Anti song, "Need Me," but who cares? RiRi was on stage in a du-rag and at one point, and even grabbed her crotch. Basically, Rihanna is on the level of cool most folks aspire to but never quite reach, and if you didn't know before, now you do. Her bad girl cool and fashion sense is always a plus, and both were present last night for the Vanguard Award winner, especially when Drake admitted he's been in love with her since she was just 22. Aw for Drake and his emotional public outbursts. (Even if he did later trip on her dress backstage).
