Mo’Nique wants fans to boycott Netflix, but people on Twitter are saying, “Hold up, wait a minute."

On Friday (Jan. 19), the actress-comedian went on her Instagram page accusing Netflix of gender bias and racial bias. In a video she stated that Netflix wanted her to do a standup special for $500,000, which she felt was too low for her stature in entertainment.

She then went onto explained that Amy Schumer was paid a $11 million while Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock was paid $20 million. Mo’Nique feels that she should get equal pay than the aforementioned comedians because her résumé reflects that.

“When we asked Netflix to explain the difference, why the money was so different, they said, ‘Well, we believe that’s what Mo’Nique will bring,’” she explained. “We said, ‘What about my résumé?’ They said, ‘We don’t go off of résumés.’ Then we asked them, ‘What was it about Amy Schumer?’ And they said, ‘Well, she sold out Madison Square Garden twice and she had a big movie over the summer. Is that not Amy Schumer’s résumé?’ And then Netflix said, ‘By the way, we believe Mo’Nique is a legend, too.’ Why shouldn’t I get what the legends are getting?”

That's a fair question. In response, reps for Netflix said that they don't discuss their contract deals in public.

While fans were empathetic with Mo'Nique's argument, some weren’t trying to give up their Netflix and Chill habit.

"Issa No for me sis, Netflix is lit. I think you trying to distract me from the real problem: Where the Hell is my W2’s!" wrote one fan.

Another commenter tweeted, "Let’s be real... Mo’Nique is a LEGEND. Amy schumer should have never in a million years been offered more than her. Mo’Nique’s resumé is way too long for the disrespect. I proudly stand with her."
