R&B singer Monica has been tapped to appear as an advisor on NBC's talent show 'The Voice.'

The new series, which premiered on April 26, is helmed by a panel of celebrity judges including Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine. Monica will be brought in exclusively to assist coach Cee Lo during the show's "battle rounds." Each celebrity guest will be responsible for providing contestants with advice on song selections, stage performance and vocal stylings.

While the ATL songstress works with Cee Lo's team, country music star Reba McEntire will assist coach Blake Shelton, singer-songwriter Sia Furler will assist Christina Aguilera and producer Adam Blackstone will assist Adam Levine.

Monica released her most recent album 'Still Standing' last March and she is currently at work on her seventh LP 'New Life.' At this year's Grammy Awards she received two nods for Best R&B Female Vocal Performance and Best R&B Album. In January, she tied the knot with L.A. Lakers guard Shannon Brown after getting engaged to him in October 2010.

'The Voice' pulled in over 11 million viewers during its debut this month and, in June, the show will be broadcast live. Watch Monica on a new episode of 'The Voice' on NBC, Tuesday night (May 3) at 9PM EST.
