This summer two R&B forces will collide when Monica and Trey Songz head out on their national co-headlining tour. Although the pair have yet to work out all of the details, according to Monica, their main objective is to make sure fans get the best of both worlds.

"The actual tour that will be out in August," she told The BoomBox. "We haven't named the tour yet. We want to get together when he comes back from overseas and create what the set will be like, what the atmosphere will be like, but the good part is Trey and I both want it to be an experience. We want it to be something that you remember and kinda' bridge the gap between the two worlds of R&B female and R&B male."

Both artists have been riding high on the success of their respective albums. In 2009, Songz dropped 'Ready,' his best selling album pushing over 600,000 copies to date. Monica's 'Still Standing,' which was released in March, has already been certified gold by the Recording Industry of Association of America (RIAA).

In the meantime, Monica has been out promoting her album and doing spot appearances all over the country. Her lead single, 'Everything to Me,' topped the Hip-Hop/R&B charts. "It's been a blessing all together," she added. "We've been consistently busy since 'Everything to Me' dropped."

The single also snagged the 29-year-old a BET Awards nomination in the Viewer's Choice category where she will face off against Songz, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Young Money and Beyonce. The 10th annual BET Awards air June 27.
