Dr. Dre, Diddy, Snoop Dogg and Jay-Z have proven that the luxury headphone game can be lucrative, but what about something for the DJs? Well, the next hip-hop figure to enter the market with his own line of ear sets is none other than master turntablist and Beastie Boy DJ Mix Master Mike. The Los Angeles native has apparently been developing his particular model with the Skull Candy electronics company over the last 18 months and it's finally ready for public consumption.

Unveiled last week in Park City, Utah, the phones are specifically tailored for DJs. This means they sport a unique dual channel cue function that allows the user to drive separate mixes into each ear -- an integral perk for someone spinning records from two turntables. Mike's model also features one-touch muting, 50mm drives for huge bass and clarity and a pressure formed collapsible road case.

The model was originally announced as far back as January at the 2010 CES trade show, so you know they took their time with the design. The cost also supports that work and attention to detail. The phones will retail for a cost of $250 a pop.

"These headphones are the truth," says Mike in the marketing materials. We're inclined to trust his judgment on this one.
