It seems like a while ago now, but hip-hop came close to losing one of its beloved DJs last September. Mister Cee announced his resignation from Hot 97 on Sept. 11 after video evidence of him attempting to solicit oral sex from a transsexual prostitute showed up on the Internet. He renounced his resignation the next morning in an emotional sit-down interview with Hot 97 Program Director Ebro Darden. A new GQ profile details Mister Cee's life leading up to the drama and his actions after he admitted to his issues on air.

After explaining why Mister Cee is so relevant in the hip-hop scene, GQ staff writer Zach Baron details the more intimate aspects of the DJ's life. Cee speaks about his first heartbreak, his sexually active lifestyle during Big Daddy Kane's tours and his last love, who constantly called the women he knew because of her trust issues. "She was the last woman that I could really, fully, 200 percent trust. After me and her broke up, it just got harder for me to trust women," he says.

Cee then remembers the frequent visits to the strip club afterward and having sex with women right outside of these clubs. He doesn't recall exactly why he started looking for oral sex from transsexuals, but he did say it started in 2005.

The profile follows the constant lies he told about his second life, his reaction to when Ebro first confronted him about it on-air, his tearful confession and decision to make amends afterward and how he believes the Notorious B.I.G. would've reacted to his decision to tell the truth -- especially with how he constantly carries the fallen rapper's legacy. “So not only do I feel like Big has my back,” he says. “I feel like every person that I have ridden for in their afterlife -- I think they got my back as well."

The exclusive story is available here and will be in GQ's February "Love, Sex & Madness" issue.
