It’s always good to see rappers give back to their local community. However, when Migos donated $1,000 to Atlanta's Booker T. Washington High School, the group received a ton of backlash on social media over the amount.

The Atlanta trio shared a photo on Instagram of themselves presenting a huge check,  on behalf of their label, Quality Control Music, with the amount written on it to school officials inside Washington High School’s gymnasium. If you do the math, that would mean that all three members donated about $333 each, which, let’s keep it real, is pocket change to these guys.

The photo opp is also alarming considering the group members are wearing thousands of dollars in gold jewelry around their necks. Also, if you look closely, you can see that OG Maco -- you guessed it! -- doesn’t seem too thrilled by the donation either. Even some of the faculty members at the school are looking like they don't want to be there.

Granted, Migos did a charitable thing and who are we to criticize them for giving back?

The slander was in abundance on Twitter with some calling the charity moment a publicity stunt. To be fair, there are a few folks who pointed out that the donation came from their label -- Quality Control Music -- and not from Migos, themselves.
