This past week, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and Philadelphia 76ers owner Michael Rubin visited Meek Mill who is locked up at correctional facility in Chester, Pa., for violating his parole. After the meeting, Kraft told reporters that Mill doesn’t belong in jail and pushed for criminal justice reform.

“Amazing young man. I know how I’d feel if I was in the situation he is,” Kraft said outside the prison (via Philly.com). “Every time I see him, I just come away more impressed. He’s very intelligent. And makes it clear to me we have to do something with criminal justice reform.”

Some sport analysts see Kraft's visit in prison as a good gesture and will eventually help build a better relationship between the players and owners in light of Colin Kaepernick's kneeling protest two years ago. However, some critics also see it as a publicity stunt.

Method Man, who is a huge football fan, disagrees.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, the Wu-Tang Clan member commended Kraft for visiting Mill in prison and doesn't see it as a publicity stunt.

"How could it be? Meek doesn't even play football so I don't see how it's a publicity ploy," he said. "I salute Kraft for doing that."

"There's a lot of us in jail and maybe he should visit some of those people too," he added.

Mill’s case is now in the hands of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court after Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner reiterated that it would not oppose the rapper being released from prison on bail. Judge Genece Brinkley, who has been ruling over Mill’s case, has denied his request for bail, and declined to recuse herself from legal proceedings.
