Meek Mill is taking an L. The anticipation for the rapper's response to Drake's "Charged Up" diss was at an all-time high last night (July 27) as listeners tuned into Hot 97 to hear the song promised by DJ Funkmaster Flex. Unfortunately, fans got nothing.

But, hope came when the Dreams Worth More Than Money creator tweeted a video recording of a song titled "Beautiful Nightmares (Drake Diss)." "Here it gooooooooo lets get it," Meek wrote accompanied by fire flames emojis.

However, when listeners pressed play, all they heard was 15 seconds of wailing.

The Philadelphia rapper even got a few commenters on Tumblr included in the fake-out.

"Drake gotta retire. It's over," wrote one. "His career over after this," commented another.

One fan thinks that Mill is trolling now but should pull a notorious move later.

"if @MeekMill a real one he'd drop that diss before Toronto tonight," tweeted @dreadlawk. "Biggie performed 'who shot ya' in Cali @MeekMill - so come thru with the bars."

Fans are angry and confused that a song Funkmaster Flex promised was not delivered. Granted, Meek wasn't the one that actually said he would be dropping the track, but it still makes him look like a fail for making a mockery of the situation.

Meek is set to continue on Nicki MInaj's The Pinkprint Tour in Drake's hometown of Toronto tonight. Will he drop the diss track then? Stay tuned to find out.
