Troy Ave has at least one supporter saying "Free Troy" following the shootout last week at Irving Plaza during T.I.'s concert.

On Tuesday (May 31), Meek Mill went on his Instagram account to share his support for the embattled rapper, who pled not guilty of attempted murder charges and claimed that he was acting in self defense of another shooter.

"The laws they made ain't designed to protect us! 'They like get killed or get a 100 years' Don't let the press 'gas' you to go against ya own people!" Mill wrote in his post. He also compared the situation to other tragic cases. "Because if that was a cop Tryna protect his life, the police force gone stand behind them 100% 'Pic look crazy' #freetroy & never let these 'bum ass nobody 'sucka' crab in the barrel dudes pull you down! Most of the time it's all for attention.... that's all these bustas be wanting forreal!"

Video footage shows Troy Ave shooting a gun in the greenroom at the New York venue. Authorities are still waiting for the ballistics report to determine whether or not it was the 33-year-old rapper's gun that fatally killed his bodyguard, Ronald McPhatter, and injured three other people.

Mill has been battling his own legal issues as well. After breaking his probation, he was sentenced to 90 days of house arrest.
