Maxwell is keeping this hot and steamy for his new video, '1990x." The video is currently available to watch exclusively on TIDAL and is directed by frequent collaborator Philip Andelman.

Featured on his latest release, blackSUMMERS’night, the track is vintage Maxwell, sexy, soulful and drawing on his infectious falsetto to drive his point home. And he's definitely making a point... a very deliberate one in fact.

"Ah, there's no song that defines it/There's not music behind it/There's no lyric to read from/There's just me and the moment/Lay here closely beside me/Feel my heart as it's pounded/We will climax with reason/'Cause we're grown and we own it," he convincingly sings.

In the video, it's definitely about to go down. In one clip, a suited up Maxwell posts up outside of a luxury car, while a woman waits for him inside. In another clip, Maxwell sips a drink as he serenades his woman with his falsetto.

The video follows the release of the thought-provoking video, "Lake By the Ocean" also directed by Andelman.
