The health and well-being of Lamar Odom is weighing heavy on the minds of his friends and family as he fights for his life in a Las Vegas hospital. However, Master P feels that the former NBA player’s current health situation could have been avoided if his so-called friends, namely Kobe Bryant, helped him out sooner.

The rap mogul accuses Bryant of being fake with his public display of concern for Odom, who was found unconscious in a Las Vegas brothel this week. Master P, who is a dear friend of Odom, didn’t hold his tongue when it came to talking about those who rushed to the 35-year-old baller’s side now that he’s hospitalized. The 48-year-old entrepreneur told TMZ Sports he believes that Bryant, Odom's former Los Angeles Lakers teammate, could have done more to help him throughout his career but he did nothing.

"So many phony and fake people out here now," he said. "I'm talking about Kobe [Bryant], all this man [Odom] wanted to do was play basketball. If Kobe was [Odom's] friend...Kobe, like, owns the [Lakers] team, he could've got the man back on the team ... that's all he wanted."

Master P believes Bryant's visit to the hospital was a publicity stunt and not genuine. The rap mogul went on to say that Odom might have been blackballed by the NBA because of his involvement with the Kardashians and their reality show.

"He was in good shape, but I think he got blackballed," he said. "I mean, because of what he was into... like he was on the reality show. I feel like it's fake. Everybody loves somebody when something happens to him."

In the end, Master P feels that Odom was taken advantage of by the Kardashians and he warns other basketball players to be careful -- specifically James Harden, who is dating Odom's estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian.
