Wu-Tang Clan member Masta Killa knows the power of the pen. The rapper is collaborating with clothing company Akomplice for a new limited edition t-shirt and a special pen for budding lyricists to practice their craft in style. Killa is getting his Edward Bulwer-Lytton on by naming the collaboration 'The Pen Is Mightier Than the Sword.' The design depicts a handgun turning into a pen -- a statement on the power of the written word over violent forms of action.

"Masta Killa has traveled the globe and made a living demonstrating the strength of the written word," Akomplice's owner Patrick Liberty told AllHipHop.com. "The collaboration includes both a t-shirt and a pen, and will be a limited one-time release, available worldwide at many fine Akomplice retailers."

While the line has some cool items for collectors and fans of urban fashion, it also serves as a preview for Masta Killa's next album. Entitled 'Loyalty Is Royalty,' the record is slated to hit stores in early 2011 and is the follow-up to the rapper's underrated 2006 effort 'Made in Brooklyn.' The album's first single, entitled 'Things Just Ain't the Same,' is available now.
