Singer Mariah Carey recently poured out a little holiday cheer for a group of 35 underprivileged kids in Aspen, Colo. The R&B diva rented out the city's recreation center for four hours, at $1000 an hour, and filled it with toys, magicians, storytellers and more. The neglected and abused kids were allowed to scale the facility's climbing wall, swim in the pool, float in the lazy river and go ice skating, according to The Aspen Times.

"It was all about the kids," Jude Liguori-Oliver, an Aspen child protective services administrator said. "Many of these kids haven't been out of Denver. A lot of them haven't been in the mountains."

Not one to celebrate Christmas without the man himself, Carey reportedly arrived at the rec center with husband Nick Cannon in tow, along with Santa Claus, on a reindeer-drawn sled. The children were reportedly awe-struck, seeing Santa and Cannon alongside the songstress. "As soon as she got off the sleigh, they started screaming, 'Mariah! Mariah! Mariah!' " Ligouri-Oliver continued. They were also treated to a snapshot with Carey, Cannon and Claus in a festive winter scene.

Carey is reportedly a regular in Aspen during the holidays. Her album 'Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel' is in stores now.
