Mariah Carey is “doing well” and recovering after she was rushed to the hospital in New York on Wednesday (Dec. 2). Apparently, the R&B diva became sick following her appearance at a Pier 1 event on Tuesday (Dec. 1).

Mimi’s rep told People, that the singer was suffering from the flu for several days and fell ill Tuesday night.

"[Carey] had been feeling under the weather with the flu over the past few days and was fighting it to the best of her abilities," said the rep. "She is doing well now and will be performing as scheduled this weekend. She thanks her lambs for the continued support and well wishes."

Carey reportedly checked herself into the hospital the morning after she attended Tuesday’s Pier 1 Christmas Pop Up Storybook launch in New York. Later, the "All I Want for Christmas Is You" singer went on her Twitter account to inform her lambs (aka "her fans") that she is feeling well and appreciates their support.

"Thank you #lambily for all the well wishes, I'm feeling much better now! Go and get your flu shots!" she tweeted.
