Though it's only April, pop-princess Mariah Carey is already feeling festive. According to reports, the singer is currently shooting the cover of her upcoming Christmas album with respected fashion photographer David LaChapelle, who previously shot Carey's 1999 album 'Rainbow' and directed her video for 'Loverboy.'

In a recent interview with LaChapelle in the U.K.'s The Times, the photographer explained that the Christmas album will feature a graffiti skyline backdrop replete with fake snow, a "hideous" silver tree and wooden reindeer. "Mariah wanted real ones," LaChapelle said. "Flown from Nebraska. Can you imagine, real reindeer?"

Carey recently scrapped her 'Angel's Advocate' remix album and has since been holed up in the studio, recording with Jermaine Dupri.

Her last holiday-themed album, 'Merry Christmas,' was released in 1994, selling over 12 million copies worldwide.
