Whether it's necessary or not, white rappers will forever be compared to each other in this game we call hip-hop. At least Macklemore let his competition know how he feels about them.

"You’re immediately going to get placed in the box, you’re immediately going to be corny," he told Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg in a recent interview. "That’s the first place that you go. I do it too. I, for the most part, don’t like white rappers either. I think that most white rappers are corny."

When he wasn't committing white-on-white crime, the Seattle rapper also discussed the success of 'Thrift Shop' ("we literally thought we did not have a single for 'The Heist'"), his admiration for Kendrick Lamar and the issue of homophobia in hip-hop.
