Fresh off their big victories at the MTV Video Music Awards, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis drop a new video for 'White Walls,' their collaboration with Schoolboy Q.This is another grandiose visual production, directed by Macklemore, Ryan Lewis, and Jason Koenig. Macklemore starts the video off dressed like a cowboy getting ready for a big throwdown. However, there are plenty of other scenes in this video, from a pool party where Macklemore is clad in striped pajamas to a used care dealership where Trinidad James is showing off his wares.

Outside of James and Schoolboy Q, cameos in the video come from Big Boi (still recovering from his knee injury), Sir Mix-A-Lot, Trinidad James and DJ Drama, among others. Q delivers his verse as he hangs out with an elderly women at the pool party. This comes after Macklemore made a cameo in the video for Schoolboy Q's 'Collard Greens.'

While it's rather obvious that Macklemore is raking in a lot of money right now, it's refreshing to see him channel back those funds into making a music video that is just as spectacular as the rest of his videos have been, without falling into industry stereotypes and pitfalls. Sure, there are cameos galore from rappers and entertainment figures, but they all fit into the aesthetic of the video that is about more than just showboating.

'White Walls' is the fifth song off Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' album 'The Heist' with a music video. The album came out independently in October of last year, and has since gone on to sell over one million copies. The momentum has still not died out for the Seattle duo, and it seems obvious that they are riding the momentum from this one record until its wheels fall off.
