M.I.A. is a rebel with a cause on her latest tracks "Ola" and "Foreign Friend."

The British singer-rapper continues her activism for immigrants through her music in the two back-to-back songs. “At the border, I see the patroller, cruising past in their car,” she rhymes in "Ola." “Grippin’ in my socks and slippers, Mexicans say ‘hola.',” she continues.

"Foreign Friend" continues the anti-border control theme as she boasts about her illegal activities. “Most of the things I do, they banned it,” she rhymes. “But I’ma still do it. I’m a bandit.”

"Ola" is a perfect example of MIA championing music about refusing to abide by "the system." She samples the infamous opening to The Lion King's "Circle of Life" -- but it seems that the 40-year-old may have not cleared the sample for use. After she posted the track, she urged "pirates" to spread the song around before Disney caught wind of it.

“Throw that shit on dj sites WORLDWIDE no borders – b 4 Disney shut it down!" read her tweet that has since been deleted.

This is far from the first time that MIA played a roll in immigration activism. In one of her first hits "Paper Planes" she speaks heavily on it. "If you catch me at the border I got visas in my name / If you come around here, I make 'em all day / I get one down in a second if you wait," she sing-raps.
