According to a new and confounding post on his website, Lupe Fiasco has decided to postpone the release of his much-anticipated third album 'LupE.N.D.'

"Due to circumstances beyond my control...the album roll out has changed radically...LupE.N.D. has been postponed indefinitely!!! As a matter of fact consider it cancelled until further notice!!!"

Though Lupe's website offers no further information as to the cause of the postponement, it does announce a replacement for the release, an all new Lupe album, modestly titled 'The Great American Rap Album,' which will allegedly be released in June. According to his website, tracks 1-10 on the upcoming album are simply titled 'Song #, 1' 'Song #2,' etc. The only exception is the title track.

Following the tracklisting is a cryptic message, "See ya'll in June and again in December and again next June...," perhaps hinting at future releases, and a note to look out for Lupe's punk band Japanese Cartoon's 'In the Jaws of the Lords of Death,' drops the same day as 'The Great American Rap Album.'

The rapper's post is a little convoluted. Last year Lupe announced plans to retire after the release of 'LupE.N.D.,' so we can only assume he wanted to keep his promise and release a few more albums before taking a bow.
