The saga between Lupe Fiasco and his currently incarcerated friend/drug kingpin, Charles “Chilly” Patton, continues with a multi-million dollar lawsuit brought by Patto's estranged wife.

TMZ reports that the woman claims the Chicago rapper worked with Patton, who is serving a 44-year prison sentence, to hide upwards of $9 million so that she wouldn't get any of the money in a divorce. According to the lawsuit, Fiasco allegedly moved the funds to various bank accounts and Patton's wife has apparently discovered a trail that links Fiasco to the money.

In speaking with TMZ, Fiasco's attorney said that the claims are baseless and that "there are no secret accounts and no illicit instructions."

Fans of the rapper are no doubt at least aware of his connection to Chilly, who is frequently shouted out by Fiasco. This was particularly evident on the track 'Free Chilly' off his sophomore album, 2007's 'The Cool.'
