Lupe Fiasco had a memorable traveling experience Thursday (Nov. 17) for all the wrong reasons. The Chi-town native was detained when trying to board a flight at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

Not many details have emerged regarding the incident but the 'Words I Never Said' creator took to his Twitter account to disclose information. "WOW...Fresh outta handcuffs @ LAX," Lupe tweeted before hit the stage in Rhode Island last night.

Apparently Fiasco was held in custody due to "technical equipment" he was carrying. Sources reveal to AllHipHop.com that he was not permitted to bring the item on the plane.

No charges were filed against the rhymer, who was eventually cleared and headed to his destination.

"Airport PD officer was just doing way too much," Lupe posted to his Twitter account. "Even OD'd on TSA...let the arrest get before the CHARGES. We good tho...#TimeForPrivateJets. Shout to all the good airport cops and TSA folks...don't let the bad apples spoil the bunch!!"

The 29-year-old didn't let the circumstances prevent him from performing for fans in Rhode Island, where he took the stage at the Ryan Center.
