Lupe Fiasco Drops Crazy Bars on 'Black Power L Word' and 'KJazz'

If you are still debating on whether or not Lupe Fiasco is the “G.O.A.T. Lyricist,” these two songs might help you in your decision. On Sunday (Oct. 29), the Chicago native released “Black Power L Word” and “KJazz” on his social media accounts and they both sound dope.

On both of the tracks, Lupe is delivering fantastic wordplays that you have always known him for. On the violin-strumming “Black Power L Word,” he references The Karate Kid, Transformers and Superman to make a point that his lyrics are quite powerful.

"Indeed, I spit freeze like Kal-El, only bow down to Islam / Back to the training, this mental bomb left Daniel-san hanging / Haymakers for Al Haymon," he raps on the song.

On "KJazz," Lupe spits bars about California over a jazzy instrumental with turntable scratches. "Sunsets Los Angeles undressed / Like the sky put on a skirt to hurt the slum sets / Then hit Hollywood boulevard like spars / Light taps that fight back, high heels covered in stars," he rhymes.
