LudacrisLudacris and Wale will perform at the regional finals of Sprite's Step-Off competition in New York City this weekend. The competition, which will be featured in a six-part documentary series on MTV, is one of the biggest Greek step competitions in the nation. The winning team will take home $1.5 million in scholarship money, the largest prize ever awarded for a domestic step competition.

The ATL rapper expressed his excitement for the growing step culture via a press release this week. "I love that MTV2 and Sprite are giving a step competition national exposure and introducing this creative dance form to an audience outside of the urban college landscape," Luda said. "The teams competing on the show are not only dedicated but diverse and will take step competitions to a new level."

MTV will follow six fraternity and sorority step teams as they battle their way to the national championship, which takes place in Atlanta, Georgia on Feb. 20. MTV 2 will air footage starting Sunday, Jan. 31. Visit SpriteStepOff.com for tickets and more information on the Jan. 30 competition at NYC's Roseland Ballroom.
