Ludacris to Pull an Oprah and Gift 20 Cars to Lucky Fans
Often cited as one of President Barack Obama's favorite artists, Atlanta rapper/actor Ludacris has announced a stimulus package of his own. As part of his annual "LudaDay Weekend," Luda will be offering fans the opportunity to enter his "Stars for Cars" giveaway, which will be gifting 20 very lucky Atlanta-area residents with a used car and a month's worth of free gas on Sept. 6.
"I'm going 2 provide Atlanta w/ R own Stimulus package! LudaDay wknd I'm gving away cars," the rapper announced via Twitter. Luda, and his charity, The Ludacris Foundation -- a non-profit organization helping the youth achieve their dreams through music and the arts -- are partnering up with Nissan South for the car spree. In order to enter "Stars for Cars - The LudaDay Giveaway" contestants must be at least 18, willing to pay the taxes, registration and insurance for the vehicle and provide a valid Georgia driver's license. A 300-word essay explaining why one deserves to win the car must also be submitted via the Ludacris Foundation website or essay@theludacrisfoundation.org by Sept. 3. "LudaDay Weekend" begins Thursday, Sept. 3 and runs through Sunday, Sept. 6.
