Ludacris is prepping his eighth studio album, 'Ludaversal,' for a late 2011 release.

During a visit to 102.7 KIIS FM's Ryan Seacrest morning show on Tuesday (March 29), the Atlanta rapper confirmed that fans could expect a follow up to 2010's 'Battle of the Sexes' later this year. "I'm just getting started on it, so hopefully by the end of this year," Luda explained. The anticipated album will include production from the Neptunes. Besides the beatmaking duo of Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo, the 'My Chick Bad' performer declined to reveal more details.

While he was behind the microphone, Luda also talked about filming the upcoming movie 'New Year's Eve' with co-stars Hilary Swank, Halle Berry and Jessica Biel. "That movie is amazing," Ludacris admitted. "I guarantee you, if not No. 1, it will be top three movies of this year."

And although his plate is currently full with an upcoming album and film release, Ludacris is still making time for charitable endeavors. In May, he will join Major League Baseball and the Atlanta Braves to perform a free concert for fans, as part of the four-day Civil Right Games Week series. Civil Right Games Week runs from March 12 to 15, and Luda is scheduled to perform at 1PM on Saturday May 14, following the Atlanta Braves game.

Ludacris' previous album, 'Battle of the Sexes,' hit stores in March 2010. It produced two hit singles, including 'My Chick Bad' featuring Nicki Minaj, and 'Sex Room' featuring Trey Songz.
