Love triangles, deception and rivals. 'Love & Hip Hop: New York' Season 4 kicked off last night (Oct. 28) with a bang and if the premiere is any indication, Peter Gunz is a lowdown, good-for-nothing dog.

The rapper, known for his 1997 hit 'Deja Vu (Uptown Baby),' is back on the music scene and trying to resurrect his career as a manager. He introduces us to his lovely longtime girlfriend Tara Wallace, with whom he has a 13-year-relationship and two kids.

Peter gushes over his lady, but don't get too cozy, there's another woman in the picture. Meet Amina a.k.a. Amina Buddafly, his client who is in pursuit of a singing career. He initially acts professional (don't they all?) until we see that behind closed studio doors, Peter and Amina are in L-O-V-E.

Tara sees signs of Peter's cheating ways all over Amina's Instagram and confronts him. Of course, her man lies to her face. Tara reminds Peter that he's been a cheater in the past and got her and another woman pregnant at the same time. He swears the past is the past, but Instagram tells a very different story.

Elsewhere, Joe Budden and Tahiry are back together. The always-emo Joe wants to have a baby, but hold the phone. Tahiry isn't making any moves until Joe gets tested for STDs. She's been burned in the past -- no pun intended -- and isn't about to go back. Luckily, Joe passes his test with flying colors and after a romantic night for two, it's clear what this couple is about to do.

In less happy couple news, Yandy Smith is struggling while her man Mendeecees is locked up. Yandy is left to raise their son and Mendeecees Jr., without a father. Yandy tries to protect little Mendeecees Jr., by telling him his father is in the Army but the precocious tyke tells her that he already knew about the jail sentence. He "pretended to be sleeping" when the grown ups were apparently discussing it.

“How long you been keeping that in?” she asks him.

“Months,” he says. Heartbreaking.

A familiar face from 'Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta' joins the cast as K. Michelle moves to the Big Apple. After hopping off a private jet, the Georgia Peach is ready to take the city by storm, but first things first: she wants a man. Men and music: always on K's mind.

Rich Dollaz and Erica Mena have since broken up but seem to remain friends. Erica says she's working on a sex book and now that she's dating a woman, she's an expert on all things in the bedroom. Rich tells Erica he's working with Peter Gunz, which Erica is not having.

According to her, Peter is trifling and had something to do with her breakup with Rich. Sleeping with Rich's ex-girlfriend probably didn't help either, Erica. Either way, she warns Rich to steer clear of his boy.

Peter confides in Rich, telling him of his feelings for Amina. Later, Rich tries to talk sense into her, telling her to back off. She cooly tells him that she's Peter's main chick and has the tattoo to prove it. Wait, what? Is it Amina or Tara? Who's the real wifey?

Stay tuned to this season to find out the answers.
