LL Cool J, Ne-Yo Drop ‘No More,’ Debuts on ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’
LL Cool J is both a Grammy Award-winning recording artist and a NAACP Award-winning actor. The New York native will be blending those talents seamlessly as part of his hit TV show 'NCIS: Los Angeles.'
On Tuesday night's (Nov. 15) episode, which airs on CBS 9PM-10PM, ET/PT, LL will debut the original new song 'No More,' featuring Ne-Yo, as a soundtrack to his character's storyline.
The song, written by the lauded rap star and helmed by multi-platinum producers Rico Love and Jim Jonsin, finds LL dropping lyrics as a backdrop to an emotional scene for both the personal and professional life of his character Special Agent Sam Hanna.
"Slip in the door, you hold my hopes so/ All I hear is, 'Love don't live here anymore'/ We could tear the house down or build some scaffold/ We're sitting on the fence so where you wanna go/ You're the architect of your life, it's your show/ You create the blueprint, and how the rooms flow/ Before you burn a house down, think, take it slow/ Even arsonists need shelter, let me know," he raps.
Ne-Yo croons in support of the 2011 BET I Am Hip-Hop Icon Award winner's track, "I don't understand what we goin' through/ But it's like you don't know me and I don't know you.
