LL Cool J has been making waves as a television star in CBS’ hit drama NCIS: Los Angeles, and now the rapper-actor wants to expand his partnership with the Eye Network.

According to Shadow and Act, Uncle L is executive producing a comedy series called Brotherhood. The show, which is based on the U.K. series of the same name, tells the story of two brothers whose lives are forever change when they have to raise their 10-year-old brother.

This will be LL’s first-ever executive producer credit on a scripted series. The show is still a work-in-progress with Writer/producer Michael Borkow penning the script. LL Cool J is also the host and producer of Spike TV’s popular karaoke show, Lip Sync Battle.

LL Cool J is no stranger to comedy television. From 1995 to 1999, he was the leading star on the NBC sitcom In the House, which co-starred Alfonso Ribeiro and Kim Wayans.
