We've made it to the last quarter of the year, and the new music releases seem to be flying out of the sky. While nostalgic hip-hop heads have already seen a new album from A Tribe Called Quest in 2016, and they're about to end the year with The LOX, there's another group that's just given them a music gift. Smoke DZA and Pete Rock have teamed up to provide an excellent winter soundtrack to longtime rap fans with their new album.

The duo has released their brand new Don't Smoke Rock project, which contains a total of 13 tracks, and a lot of guest features from familiar names. Not only does it have hip hop veterans such as Jadakiss, Styles P, and Royce Da 5'9", but the two even recruited some names from the latest generation including BJ The Chicago Kid, Dave East, Wale, and Mac Miller.

While speaking with XXL on the brand new project, Smoke DZA revealed some tidbits on what fans can expect.

“It’s a vibe, it’s a painting, it’s a moment. Something that comes around once in a while. I come from old Harlem, before it was a Chase Bank and Starbucks on every corner. Before gentrification," he told the outlet.

If you're looking for a project that captivates the essence of New York hip hop, then look no further than the two's new project. Take a listen to the brand new album from DZA and Rock below.
