JAY-Z's thirteenth studio album is here, after a mysterious and effective ad campaign. Rapping about everything from his estrangement from Kanye West to marital problems and generational wealth, it's definitely not Jay playing things safe.

Talking about everything from his mother's love life to his last conversations with Prince, Jay goes uber-personal throughout the album. On "Smile" Jay raps that "I respect Jimmy Iovine," but warns that "it's a whole new regime."

"Yall thought I was washed, I'm at the cleaners," he quips.

The album features Frank Ocean, Damian Marley and Jay's mother, Gloria. Other than that, it's more or less Shawn Carter, front and center.

Jay announced that superproducer No I.D. was helming the entire project, and he didn't release any preliminary singles. This is Jay's first album since 2013s Magna Carta...Holy Grail.

It was revealed hours before the album's release that it would only be available to TIDAL subscribers if they signed up for the streaming music service prior to the release. The album won’t be available to anyone who signs up for TIDAL after midnight EST on June 30. To hear it after that, you’ll have to sign up for Sprint.

So if you're a TIDAL customer, you can check out the album now.
