Lin-Manuel Miranda, the Tony Award-winning creator and actor of the smash Broadway musical Hamilton, took one last bow during his final curtain call on Saturday (July 9). The 36-year-old playwright, who played Alexander Hamilton in the stage production, joins fellow actors Leslie Odom Jr. (Aaron Burr) and Philippa Soo (Eliza Schuyler) who are also departing the show.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, A-list celebs like Jane Fonda, Edward Norton, Mariska Hargitay, Jennifer Lopez (with whom Miranda recently collaborated) and others were in attendance to see Miranda perform one last time at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York.

Miranda's final curtain call was set to the theme song of The West Wing.

"It was so emotional - the words, the music, the actors, the triumph," said J.Lo. "It's now a part of Broadway history. I am so proud of Lin and happy I was able to be there with my children, Max and Emme."

Miranda's alternate Javier Munoz will take over the lead role next week, alongside Lexi Lawson as Eliza Schuyler Hamilton. Brandon Victor Dixon will play Aaron Burr beginning in mid-August.

Although Miranda is no longer in Hamilton, he did leave something behind for his cast to remember him by. The actor chopped off his shoulder-length hairstyle and left a few locks on his dressing room table.
