A few days ago we shared news that Lil Wayne is suing Birdman for $8 million to be released from Cash Money Records, and now more details on the lawsuit are trickling in.

According to TMZ, Weezy is demanding that Nicki Minaj and Drake leave Cash Money with him, as both artists were not only discovered by the rapper, but they're also signed to his label Young Money. Lil Twist, Christina Milian and Mack Maine are also on the label.

But here's where things get convoluted. Wayne's artists have a distribution deal with Cash Money and before they can jump ship, those deals have to be settled for all five artists to move on. This looks like a major legal fight.

Remember the lyrics on Tunechi's song 'CoCo,' off his recently released 'Sorry 4 the Wait 2' mixtape? He gives a brief reminder of the artists that belong to his roster. "I ain't tripping, I got Barbie and Drake too," he spits.

A very long, drawn out court battle is about to go down.
