Lil Wayne Is Still Sticking With His ‘No Such Thing as Racism’ Comment [VIDEO]

Lil Wayne still believes there’s “no such thing as racism.” As if.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Weezy defended his comment and understands why some people are criticizing him over it. The rap veteran claims that critics don’t see it from his perspective.

One of the main reasons why Wayne feels that there is no racism is because a white police officer saved his life when he was 12 years old after he accidentally shot himself in the chest.

The Grammy-winning rhymer recalls lying on the floor as other officers just walked over him as they were looking for guns and drugs. But Wayne said that it was a white officer, who he called "Uncle Bob," that chastised the other officers and took him to the hospital.

If it wasn't for "Uncle Bob," Weezy might not have been alive today to tell his story. "[He] stood there and waited [at the hospital] until the doctor said 'He's gonna make it,' he said.

"He was white as snow," he added. "I don’t know what racism is. I know a good motherf---er named Uncle Bob, though.”

Wayne also said that when he's performing on stage, he "sees all colors" enjoying his music. "It's the world out there. It's not a certain part or a certain kind or a certain culture or whatever of people, it's people -- those people out there in that crowd," he said.

"I'm blessed to have that opportunity, so with that said I can only be honest with such a thing, I have never witnessed racism," he continued.

Lil Wayne is currently promoting his just-released memoir, Gone ‘Til November, where he touches on different experiences he witnessed during his jail stint at Rikers Island.
