At every show that Lil Wayne performs at he keeps saying his long-delayed album, Carter V, is coming real soon. Yet, we haven’t heard or seen any new music from the project.

On Friday night (April 28), at his show in Dallas, the embattled rapper rest assured concertgoers that “‘C5’ is coming soon.” He also added, “F--- Cash Money! It’s the Roc!”

As you may know, Weezy has a lawsuit pending against Cash Money and Birdman for $50 million in unpaid royalties. Due to his legal case, it has slowed down Wayne’s musical output.

According to reports, Lil Tunechi has the Carter V masters in his possession but will not release them until he settles his dispute with Cash Money. That sounds logical. In Birdman’s defense, the rap mogul said that he will eventually resolve his legal issue Wayne. “That’s my son and I love him, and we’ll make it happen,” he said.

Meanwhile, Wayne has one ally on his side -- Roc Nation CEO Jay Z. While he’s been out on tour, Lil Wayne has been yelling, “It’s the Roc!”

Although there hasn’t been an official announcement, many believed that Weezy is now part of the Roc Nation family. Not quite.

In a 20-minute interview with Skip Bayless on Fox Sports’ Undisputed program, Wayne revealed Hov's involvement in his legal case.

“Jay is just a good guy. It was nothing but a simple thing,” he said. “Friend to friend, I just want to help you. Simply. That’s all it was. I just want to help you, man, in any way I can. Right now, he’s just gonna help me in any way he can.”

Hopefully, Lil Wayne can settle his legal case against Cash Money so fans can finally hear the Carter V project.
