This week, Lil Wayne surprised fans by calling into DJ Funkmaster Flex's show on New York City's Hot 97 radio station and speaking directly from Rikers Island. Besides sharing his gratitude for those supporting him while in the clink, the New Orleans native discussed those he kept in constant communication with (Drake, Nicki Minaj and Mack Maine), his refusal to listen to music while behind bars and, most importantly, new material that'll appear on his forthcoming EP, 'I'm Not a Human Being.'

While the Young Money leader spoke with Flex, DJ Clue--who was spinning records live on competing New York radio station Power 105.1--aired Wayne's Drake-assisted new single, 'Right Above It,' for the first time.

The song, produced by Kane Beatz, is the first release off of the rapper's 'I'm Not a Human Being' EP. The project is set to make a viral impact on the Internet on September 27, which is also the date of Wayne's birthday.

Before hanging up the phone with Funkmaster Flex, the Cash Money Records rhymer answered questions regarding where the opus would fit in with his highly-anticipated eighth studio album as well as the recording process during his prison stint. "Yes, ['I'm Not a Human Being' is] gonna drop before 'Carter IV,' only on the Internet," Wayne said. "This is stuff that I recorded right before I came here."
